Ellis and I are blessed to be surrounded by the most wonderful people. One of our friends invited Ellis and I for a day of gardening. We shopped for plants and seeds at the local market. Ellis enjoyed choosing flowers. Our friend showed Ellis how to plant a garden. At first I was not sure how much Ellis connected with the whole activity. He often does not 'talk' about what is important to him.

Ellis surprised me the next day when he disappeared for a while and came back to show me a drawing about us planting a garden together. If Ellis draws about something, it means that it is important to him. I was very moved because he went out of his way to point out that our friend was in the picture.
